Hermes centralises R&D in Leeds

Hermes is to have a central innovation centre in Leeds, moving all its R&D personnel into one building.

The first step for the delivery company is to recruit 50 permanent technology specialists that include senior developers as well as UX experts.

The Hermes Innovation Lab is to be moved into the new site. This organisation exists to reimagine the delivery process and to drive efficiencies into the delivery network.

In addition, Hermes is to send 20 staff from the HQ in Morley to the new centre in Leeds.

CIO Chris Ashworth said: “At a time of economic uncertainty, we are committed to further investing in our future, and this vibrant office will play a key role in that.”
